Milecastle was set up to offer the kind of technology support people actually want — practical, respectful, and trustworthy.
I’ve spent many years helping real people with everyday technology problems, across home and small business environments — not just maintaining systems or ticking boxes. That experience showed me that most problems aren’t caused by a lack of ability, but by unclear explanations, rushed fixes, or advice that doesn’t consider the person using the technology.
My approach is calm and patient, with a focus on understanding the root cause of a problem. I take the time to explain what’s happening in plain English, without jargon or pressure, so you can feel confident about what’s being done and why.
I believe good technology support should be honest. That sometimes means saying “Don’t spend your money“, or “This doesn’t need fixing right now“. My aim isn’t to upsell services — it’s to solve problems properly and build long-term trust.
Milecastle exists to provide straightforward, human-centred technology help — whether that’s fixing something that’s broken, setting something up correctly, or simply helping things make more sense.
“If technology feels confusing, frustrating, or unnecessarily stressful, my role is to make it manageable again.“
